Air Liquide's red album is a acid tinged experience waiting to be explored

I started listening to Air Liquide’s ‘red’ album yesterday and found myself liking it more than I thought I would. Let me explain…Whenever music groups put ‘live’ recordings on their albums I cringe because it’s usually a song that’s already on the album, just that this version is the ‘live’ one. Also that ‘live’ version is taking up valuable space on the album which could be instead a brand new never before heard of song. So that’s my opinion but I do allow exceptions and in the case of the ‘red’ album the ‘live’ versions work. Let me again explain, first the live ‘songs’ on the red album are not repeats of a studio version on the album, And…Secondly the live songs are high quality recordings, that is no echos or distortions like if the playing was coming out of a small box or enormous hallway. You get what I’m saying right? Well anyway Air Liquide pulled it off, and it sounds great. I thought their creative cd case which was all red with the words red underneath was a splash of brilliance, the art direction on that was spot on.
